Club Captain Wayne is the longest serving
member of the squad who joined Stafford Rangers in summer 2002 following the appointment
of previous manager Phil Robinson. Always a favourite with the fans, he was voted both
Supporters Player of the Season and Players Player of the Season in both
2002/03 and 2003/04, becoming the first and only player to retain these awards. A
commanding central defender, Wayne was also named Managers Player of the Season in
2003/04. Previously with Kidderminster Harriers, Bridgnorth Town and Paget Rangers, he
made his 250th Stafford appearance on the opening day of the current season. Wayne was a
member of the winning Staffordshire Senior Cup side in both 2003 and 2005.
