Samy initially joined Stafford Rangers at the end of October 2007 and left at the beginning of January 2008 to join League Two side Bury. However, he rejoined the club in mid-March 2008. Samy began his career with his home city club, Caen, before joining Millwall in summer 2006 and made four League appearances for the South London club last season. Samy's brother Youl plays for Preston North End.
