Sidelined for the whole of last season by a long-term knee injury, Nathan joined Stafford in summer 2005 from Rushall Olympic and began the season in the Under-21 squad. Impressive performances in the Staffordshire County League, including one five-goal haul, quickly earned a call-up to the first-team squad where he has become established. Nathan scored 13 goals during the 2005/06 season.
