22/3/08 Gulls fly into Marston Road

Stafford Rangers play the second of three home games against Blue Square Premier big names on consecutive Saturdays when Torquay United visit Marston Road.

Sandwiched in between the visits of Oxford United (last Saturday) and Aldershot Town (next Saturday), Torquay will be making their first-ever visit to Marston Road hoping to consolidate their position in the play-off zone.

On the other hand, Stafford will be looking for points to keep them in touch with fifth-from-bottom Weymouth. Del Olaoye is strugglibng with an ankle injury and Steve Bull may well add a new striker to the squad.

Torquay, currently in 4th position, will have a full squad to select from aprt from central defender Steve Woods who has a broken goal. Goalkeeper Simon Rayner may start after being recalled from a loan spell at Boston United.

The only previous meeting between Stafford and Torquay was earlier at Plainmoor in the season when Torquay won 2-0.
