25/2/08 - Press Release - MEET THE BULL
MEET THE BULL
If you are a Stafford Rangers supporter, a Steve Bull fan, or a football fan, there is only one place for you to be on Wednesday 27th February and that is Marston Road - the ‘home of football’ in Stafford.
Due to the huge amount of interest in Rangers’ new manager, the club have changed the contract signing to Wednesday evening at the Social Club, rather than before Saturday’s vital relegation battle against Farsley Celtic
Steve will be signing for the club at 8 pm and everyone will have the opportunity to buy a Steve Bull signed Stafford Rangers Shirt, a CD of Steve’s playing days and a signed photo. A selection of Rangers merchandise will also be on sale.
You will get an opportunity to talk to Steve and he will take questions from the floor at 8.30 pm so if there’s something you have always wanted to know, now is your chance. Don’t miss it!
Six days to go before vital first home game
This will be a fun but casual night before the serious business starts again in six days time on Saturday 1st March, as Steve takes charge, as Manager, for his first home match in what should be an exciting nail biting game. Steve is looking forward to this immensely and said: “Whilst I am delighted to raise the profile of the club, I have come here to manage a winning team and that’s what I will be concentrating on on Saturday. The interest has been fantastic, I feel at home here already but I want to see the place packed to the rafters on Saturday.”
Website hits
Stafford Rangers website www.staffordrangers.co.uk also had a record week with well over 55,000 hits on Thursday as the new manager was announced. To receive ongoing information from the club, please signup using the link on the website.
Advance ticket sales
Although the Farsley Celtic game will not be all ticket, we are obviously limited to the current ground capacity restrictions and entrance will be on a first come basis. To ease things on the day, we will be selling tickets at the ground from tomorrow, Tuesday 26th February, starting at 2pm until Friday 29th February at 5pm. Tickets can also be purchased in the Social Club all week when the club office is closed and especially on Wednesday nights event. Prices are as usual, adults £12, concessions and children £8. Payment for advance tickets can be made by way of cash or cheque.
Subject to remaining availability, you will be able to buy tickets on the gate as normal on Saturday. Away fans have nothing to worry about as they can pay at the gate as usual.
Lightning strikes Stafford Rangers
Ex-Gladiator Lightning, aka Kim Betts, will be visiting Marston Road at 10.30 am on Tuesday 26th February to meet Steve Bull and wish him all the best at Stafford Rangers. Kim, from the popular TV series Gladiators, is known as the ‘Queen of Hang Tough’ and was undefeated in the UK arena.
