21/2/08 - Wolves legend appointed new manager
Stafford Rangers Football Club is delighted to announce that Steve Bull MBE, the Wolves 'legend', is to take up the position of Team Manager with immediate effect. Bull was unveiled at a packed Press Conference this morning at Marston Road. (Board statement)

16/2/08 - Rangers celebrate back-to-back victories
Stafford Rangers moved above Northwich Victoria into 22nd position in the Blue Square Premier table with a fine 2-1 win at Forest Green Rovers. Both caretaker managers found the net with Neil Grayson giving Rangers an early lead and Kevin Street firing home the second-half winner. The win which was Rangers' first in the league against Forest Green, followed up last Saturday's home victory over Weymouth by the same scoreline (match report) (teamsheet)

15/2/08 - McNiven loaned to Farsley
Striker David McNiven has been loaned to Farsley Celtic until the end of the season. However, he will not be permitted to play when Farsley visit Marston Road at the beginning of next month (more)

12/2/08 - Histon game abandoned
Stafford Rangers' game at Histon was abandoned after 64 minutes due to thick fog with the score 0-0. A new date has already been arranged and the teams will try again at the Glassworld Stadium on Tuesday 26th February (match report)

11/2/08 - Rangers sign Reid
In addition to Saturday's match winner Courtney Shaw, aged 21, and 19-year-old Keenan Meakin-Richards, Stafford Rangers have also signed left midfielder/winger Ishmale Reid. Aged 21 and brother of former midfielder Levi Reid, he has previously been with Port Vale, Stafford Town, Cradley Town and Rocester.

11/2/08 - Under-17 side wins league
With Sunday’s 7-0 win over Audley FC the under-17s clinched the County Minor Youth League Division One Title. Under the guidance of manager, Mick Hathaway, coach Tom Holroyd and goalkeeping coach Richard Biffen, the young Rangers side have won all 12 of their league fixtures to date and hope to see out the season with a 100% record. There are only 4 league fixtures remaining. They are also still involved in the league cup and aim to complete “the double”.

9/2/08 - Shaw and Meakin-Richards added to squad
The two new names on the teamsheet were Keenan Meakin-Richards, cousin of Jemiah who was previously with Hednesford Town, and winger Courtney Shaw who played has played for Stafford's County Senior League side and Reserves in the past

9/2/08 - Rangers record 'double' and move up a place
Stafford Rangers celebrated their first home league victory of the season with a 2-1 win and completed the 'double' over Weymouth (match report). Neil Grayson, with a first-half header, and substitute Courtney Shaw, with a late winner, were the men on target in the Marston Road sunshine. With Droylsden losing at home to Altrincham, Stafford moved off the bottom to 23rd position

7/2/08 - Register for the e-newsletter
Following the success of the recent newsletter issued by the Board, we want to keep up the communication with our supporters, both through the official website and other ways. Back in the summer we asked you to register to receive information from the club by email which many did. However, to get things off to a fresh start, would everyone who registered before the end of 2007 please do so again using the link down the left-hand side of this home page as we need to know you still want to participate. Sorry to put you to any extra work but we feel this is the best way to kick things off (signup)

6/2/08 - New dates
The away game at Halifax Town, scheduled for mid-March, will now take place on Saturday 23rd February. The date of the home game with Rushden & Diamonds has changed again and it will now be played at Marston Road on Tuesday 15th April

5/2/08 - Disappointment after second-half fightback
After conceding two quick goals just before the interval through Nick Wright (39th minute) and Chris Nurse (43rd minute), Stafford dominated the second half and Djoumin Sangare (73rd minute) reduced the deficit. 4/2/08 - Jemiah Richards
Defender Jemiah Richards is likely to miss the rest of the season after breaking a bone in his foot during Saturday's game with Tamworth - we wish you a speedy recovery, Jemiah! (more) Ryan Lynch has returned to Crewe after they decided not to extend his loan spell with Stafford while Marco Adaggio and Matt Hazley have both suffered a hamstring injury

We are aware that some supporters were upset that the £2 concession for accompanied children under the age of 12 was not available at Saturday’s FA Carlsberg Trophy tie (more)

4/2/08 - FA Trophy draw
Stafford Rangers will be looking to reach the FA Carlsberg Quarter Finals when they face Tamworth in a replay on Tuesday, 5th February. A home tie with current Blue Square Premier leaders Aldershot Town awaits the winner as well as a cheque from the prize fund of £6000 (match preview). The rest of the draw is Rushden & Diamonds v York City, Torquay United v Crawley Town and Burton/Histon v Ebbsfleet United. Ties will be played on Saturday 23rd February

The scheduled home Blue Sqaure Premier game with Rushden & Diamonds, due to the played on Saturday 23rd February, will have to be rescheduled after Diamonds progressed in the Trophy

2/2/08 - Rangers face replay to progress
It finished all sqaure at 2-2 in what turned out to be an exciting Staffordshire derby. Tamworth took a 7th-minute lead throght Nick Wright which was cancelled out by Kevin Street's long range strike in the 35th minute. Defender Gareth Evans was red-carded for voilent conduct andDamion Jarrett put Rangers ahead just before the interval. 2/2/08 - Tamworth tie preview
This afternoon's FA Carlsberg Trophy tie with Tamworth will go ahead as planned. After light snow fell overnight, Secretary Mike Hughes reports that the lines have been cleared, open terraces are OK, the temperature is rising and the sun is out. No inspections are planned
Stafford Rangers will be looking to reach the FA Carlsberg Trophy quarter finals for the second time in three years when they entertain Tamworth.
