28/1/08 - Team of the Round
Stafford Rangers have been named as the FA Carlsberg Trophy Team of the Second Round following the 2-1 victory over Forest Green Rovers. On Saturday the club will be presented with a commemorative plaque by Mr Duncan Bayley, Secretary of the Unibond League and FA Trophy Committee members. Once again we'd like thank and well done to all the players for achieving this accolade

26/1/08 - Trophy to return to Marston Road
The FA Trophy will return to Marston Road for the first time in nearly 30 years, prior to the home tie with Tamworth, as part of the FA’s Customer Relations Roadshow (more)

Marco Adaggio made an immediate impact with a goal just 57 seconds
after coming on as a substitute at the start of the second half against Salisbury City.

STRIPES, the Stafford Rangers independent supporters trust,
will be hosting another of their popular Snail Racing Race Nights on Friday 22nd February
at 8 pm. Admission is free and all are welcome. This event follows the £2000 donation by
STRIPES to the football club made before last week's home game with Forest Green Rovers

21/1/08- -Congratulations Danny!
Congratulations to Stafford Rangers goalkeeper Danny Allen who
has been selected to play for the England Schools FA Midland squad against Australia at
Hinckley on Tuesday 29th January, kick-off 7 pm. Danny is the Stafford Rangers Juniors
Under-18 keeper and this season has progressed into the First Team squad

21/1/08 - Halifax away now Tuesday 18th March
Stafford Rangers will now travel to Halifax Town on Tuesday
18th March, kick-off 7-45 pm, following the postponment of Saturday's game due to a
waterlogged pitch

19/1/08 - Halifax OFF
This afternoon's game at Halifax Town has been postponed due
to a waterlogged pitch. Referee David Webb felt the pitch was unplayable with, according
to Halifax's official site, six or seven areas of standing water. We'll advise you of the
new date in due course

15/1/08 - Trip to Grays now Tuesday 1st April
Stafford Rangers have rearranged the away game at Grays
Athletic for Tuesday 1st April, kick-off 7-45 pm. The trip was originally scheduled for
Saturday 2nd February when Rangers are now at home to Tamworth in the FA Carlsberg Trophy
Third Round.

MIDFIELDER SEB HAMILTON has been released
after making seven league and cup appearances. He joined Stafford earlier in the season
from Romulus.

14/1/08 - Home tie with Tamworth the reward
Stafford Rangers have been drawn at home to Staffordshire
rivals Tamworth of the Blue Square North in the FA Carlsberg Trophy Third Round. The tie
will be played at Marston Road on Saturday 2nd February, meaning the scheduled league game
at Grays Athletic will be rearranged.

Today's FA Trophy tie with Forest Green Rovers is definately
after the pitch passed an insepction. The surface water has drained so, in the end, we
don't need any volunteers to folk the pitch as originally thought. Thank you to those who

spell with Stafford Rangers following his release by Blue Square rivals Droylsden at the
end of last month

MIDFIELDER SAMY MAWENE has left the club
after making 11 league and cup appearences. He is likely to join a League Two side and we
would like to thank him for his hard work during the past couple of months with us

Stafford Rangers produced a second-half fightback, after Steve Morsion scored twice for
the visitors before the break, and went close to gaining a point. Defender Jemiah Richards
reduced the deficit early in the second half and Stevenage needed to keep bodies behind

4/1/08 - Lynch and Hazley join Boro
Following the signing yesterday of Damian Jarrett, Stafford
Rangers have added more names to the squad. 20-year-old Crewe left back Ryan Lynch has
arrived on an initial one-month loan and midfielder Matt Hazley, also aged 20, has been
signed following his release by Stoke City.

Stafford Rangers have signed defender Damion Jarrett ahead of
Saturday's home game with Stevenage Borough. The 21-year-old has previously had spells
with Tamworth, Hednesford Town and Cambridge City. He has been allocated the number 35

Rangers produced a battling performance away to promotion-chasing Burton with Danny Alcock
pulling off a series of fine saves. But after David McNiven (41 mins) cancelled out Marc
Goodfellow's 33rd-minute opener, Jake Edwards scored the winner at close range midway
through the second half. Late on, Samy Mawene forced a near-post save and Rangers
appealled for a peanlty in injury time for handball (teamsheet)
