14/11/07 Brown signs point the way to Marston Road
Brown tourist signs around the town now point the way to
Marston Road. Supporters Trust STRIPES were instrumental in arranging this through
STRIPES funds and a grant from the County Council. A Spokesperson for STRIPES said:
"Brown signs were high on our agenda to raise the profile of the club from day one.
The result (of the signs) is that the profile of the football club and the social club is
now raised.
"You have to remember that the social club is now seeing greater usage following
Wayne Smith's stewardship with people travelling from further a field who will benefit
from the signage. A sign outside the MOD base may bring in more fans, who knows.
"STRIPES are obviously proud of yet another achievement following the help towards
the floodlight fund and the kit hamper."

3/11/07 Rangers still looking for elusive first home win
SATURDAY 3RD NOVEMBER 2007 AT MARSTON ROAD
STAFFORD RANGERS 1 EXETER CITY 5
Good attacking play from Stafford Rangers gained little reward as
visitors Exeter scored five times. Two goals in four minutes midway through the first half
from Wayne Carlisle (22) and Matt Taylor (25) put the visitors in the driving seat,
although Kevin Street pulled one back just before the break with a fantastic strike.
Further second half goals from Jamie Mackie, Taylor again and Steve Basham from the
penalty spot completed the scoring. Skipper Wayne Daniel was sent off in injury time for
deliberate handball though the red card seemed harsh.
