16/10/07 Rangers suffer Senior Cup exit
TUESDAY 16TH OCTOBER 2007 AT THE LAMB
TAMWORTH 3 STAFFORD RANGERS 2
A much-change Stafford Rangers side, with four of the fourteen players involved making
their debut, twice took the lead in a bad-tempered tie at The Lamb and went down to an
80th minute winner. Ross Draper put Boro ahead in the 18th minute with a headed goal which
was cancelled out in the 25th minute by Michael Tuohy. Tom Youngs restored the lead eight
minutes later latching onto a throughball from Jemiah Richards. After dubious
challenges put both Seb Hamilton and Steve Hopkinson out of the game, Tamworth equalised
through Luke Edwards just after the hour mark and Chris Nurse scored the late winner.

require a replay which would have taken precedence

9/10/07 Players missed in York defeat
York City 2 Stafford Rangers 0
- With four key players missing and manager Phil Robinson amongst the substitutes, two
goals in three minutes towards the end of the first half scored by Stuart Elliott (36
mins) and Daniel McBreen (39) prevented Stafford Rangers from bouncing back from
Saturdays home defeat. (match report)
|
7/10/07 Cambridge kick-off time - our view
Stafford Rangers would like to point out that we did
everything we could to persuade Cambridge United to alter the kick-off time of next
Saturday's Blue Square Premier game. We gave Cambridge the option to change the kick-off
time but they wanted to stick to the original schedule. It was not our preference to
kick-off at 3 pm. Stafford Rangers have altered the kick-off time on many occasions to
avoid clashing with England games. The exception being the home fixture with Vauxhall
Motors a few years ago when opposition player availablity meant an earlier start could not
be accomodated.
|
6/10/07 The players know they deserved
something
Phil Robinson felt Rangers deserved something from Saturday's
3-1 home defeat at the hands of Forest Green Rovers (more)
|
6/10/07 Seb Hamilton joins Boro

Hamilton and he made his debut as a second-half substitute against Forest Green Rovers (more)

mins) gave Boro a halt-time lead but Blue Square Premier leading scorer Stuart Fleetwood
(56) levelled early in the second half. The visitors' took the points with late goals
scored by Fleetwood (84) and Mark Beesley (89). Man-of the-match Djoumin Sangare was
sent off in injury time for two bookable offences (match
